This duplex apartment for a young family of four is on the top two floors of a landmark Mies van der Rohe steel-and-glass apartment tower. The owners wished to have a minimally furnished, contemporary and low-maintenance space to raise their family. The focal point of the apartment, the stainless steel staircase slot, provides breathtaking views of the lake and enables the space to flow.
